Digital Products

These terms apply to our books, templates, video courses, source code, and private community (the "Digital Products"). They are provided by 521 Dimensions LLC, doing business as Server Side Up ("Server Side Up," "we," "us," or "our"). By buying or accessing a Digital Product, you agree to these terms.

Our General Terms of Service are part of these terms, including the sections on account terms, use restrictions, copyright and content ownership, warranty disclaimer, and liability. If the two conflict, these terms control for the Digital Products.

What you get

You get access as soon as your payment goes through, by email or through your account.

You get free updates to every product you buy, and we'll email you when there's a significant one.

We'll email you about your purchase and your products. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.

Your license

Your license is personal and can't be transferred. You may download the materials to your own devices and print one copy for yourself. Where a video course offers downloads, they're for your personal use.

You may not:

• Share, resell, or redistribute our products, or post them on file-sharing sites, torrents, YouTube, or similar platforms.
• Share your login or buy one copy for a group.
• Sell summaries of our books, or teach a course or build a competing product based mainly on our content without our permission.
• Get around our access controls or scrape our content.

We have these rules because one shared copy can turn into a hundred, and our prices depend on each person buying their own.

Source code and templates

You may use and modify the source code, example projects, and templates in our products in your own personal or commercial projects. You may not resell or redistribute the code itself as a competing product. Attribution is appreciated but not required.

Example code is written to teach. Test it before you use it in production, since we can't promise it will work in every environment.

Private community

Some products include access to our private community on GitHub Discussions. Everyone there follows our Community Guidelines.

Your community access usually lasts as long as you own a qualifying product. We may shut down the community with reasonable notice.

The community is for peer support. It doesn't include guaranteed answers or response times, and advice from other members is their own opinion, so check it before you use it in production. If you need guaranteed help, see Professional Support.

Moderation

We may warn, mute, suspend (for 1-30 days), or permanently remove members who break the guidelines. We don't have to warn you first, and serious violations can lead straight to a permanent ban. Serious violations can also cost you access to the products you bought, without a refund. If you get around a ban with another account, we'll ban all of your accounts.

If you think we made a mistake, email [email protected] with your username, the action we took, and why you think it was wrong. We'll review it within 7 business days, and our decision is final.

Refunds

Refunds follow our Fair Refund Policy. If you're refunded, your license and community access for that product end.

When your license ends

Your license lasts as long as you follow these terms and haven't been refunded for the product. We may discontinue a product with notice.

We may end your access if you break these terms or our General Terms, if we suspect fraud or unauthorized sharing, or if the law requires it. If that happens, you must delete your copies, and we won't refund products you've already accessed.
